Hi I’m Tim Burnham

This isn’t just a business but rather a reflection of what I believe in. I love paddling, I love the community and I love repairing. Coming from a background in boat repair I wondered if I could bring my worlds together by offering kayak repairs, outfitting and prebuilt safety kits to a community I admire and who inspire me.

I’ve spent my life around boats and the water, building hands on experience in everything from sailing and seamanship to kayaking and instruction.

Based in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, I live the West Coast lifestyle year-round and bring that real-world experience into my work repairing, outfitting, and improving kayaks so they perform where it matters most: on the water.

I simply enjoy working on boats and helping people get more out of their time outdoors

My Approach

What began as a passion for paddling and craft care has evolved into a dedicated kayak repair shop. We’re proud of the hulls we’ve restored and the paddlers we’ve helped, and even more excited for the trips ahead. What sets us apart isn’t just our repair process—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to diagnose damage accurately, explore the best materials and techniques for each hull type, and execute repairs with purpose and attention to performance and longevity.
